Amara Reign
Born in Atlanta and raised on Aretha, D’Angelo, and the raw gospel of her grandmother’s church, Amara Reign has always known that music is not decoration — it is testimony. She signed her first major deal at twenty-two, walked away at twenty-four, and rebuilt entirely on her own terms. The result is a body of work that answers to no one.
Her debut EP, First Light, arrived quietly in 2021 and was passed hand-to-hand by listeners who felt seen in its confessions. Scarlet Hours followed in 2022 — lusher, bolder, more certain. By Burning Season, critics had run out of comparisons.
Now, with Velvet Throne, Amara Reign steps fully into her power. The throne was always hers. She’s simply taken her seat.
